This is some recommendations from Spear and Arrow Bone Broth how our customers could incorporate bone broth into their everyday lives. Bone Broth has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years and is still used widely across Asian cooking such as Ramen which is traditional Japanese cuisine, (Pho pronounced few) is Vietnamese soup and Tom Yum is a traditional Thai dish therefore using bone broth in cooking while getting the health benefits is a win win!
Asian Cuisine’s vibrant flavours
Asian cuisine is packed full of vibrant flavours using natural healthy ingredients. They use lots of ingredients known for their health benefits such as Turmeric – anti inflammatory, Ginger – nausea and anti inflammatory, mushrooms – immune boosting, garlic – heart health to name but a few. Vietnamese Pho is a dish with meat, vegetables, noodles and bone broth used as the base stock . Ramen is the Japanese version which is usually flavoured with Miso which is a fermented soy paste and Tom Yam would be flavoured with lemongrass and keffir leaves.
Soothing Bone Broth experience in Borneo
After I had finished my chemo I and a friend decided we would go to Borneo to see the Orangutans. Once in Borneo, we booked an excursion to see the monkeys and various site seeing spots for the day. Mid morning I took extremely unwell and spent 30 minutes in a single bathroom stall. I was so ill I really did not know how I was going to continue with the excursion. My friend had gone to the canteen on site to get her lunch which was bone broth with fresh ginger slices and pak choi.
After persuading me to try the broth I found it soothed my stomach. Three bowls later I was 100 % happy to continue on the excursion and had no further episodes the rest of the day. Obviously it had rehydrated me, the ginger had helped settle my stomach and the bone broth had given me the nutrients i was obviously lacking with the climate.
